High-End full-range 3-way dipole design speaker.


Carefully following all the principles needed to make an almost ideal dipole speaker, we have managed to set a reference that is also of friendly dimensions. The speaker comes with an internal passive filter for the mid-high section. The active crossover between the bass and the mid-high section is put in an external enclosure.

This version is painted in white or black and with stainless steel strips. Additional cost of other colors on request.

The passively filtered mid-high combination can be driven at full power by a (tube) amplifier that can deliver 30W to 6 ohms. The impedance curve of the mid-high combination shows a very friendly course, no impedance correction is needed.

Our aim was to develop a “high-end reference speaker”. A loudspeaker that adds nothing, no coloration and cabinet
resonances, able to generate a realistic sound to which you can listen continuously. To meet these requirements we searched
for the optimal cabinet, the best speaker drivers with a lively and natural sound and the best electronic components
to amplify the sound and blend the three drivers into a coherent sound field.

The system is a full dipole and delivers a tremendously open and natural reproduction of sound. The full dipole property of this loudspeaker is achieved by use of an open baffle without an acoustic box. The key aspect of open baffle systems is about the use of the so-called back wave, the sound that is being radiated backwards by the dynamic speaker drivers. The back wave is not damped, it is not enclosed by a box and as a consequence will not be able to bounce against the cabinet panels and re-radiate through the thin driver cone while being distorted and slowed down. Because the back wave is completely let free, the driver cone can move without any brake and the typical box sound is simply not there. There are no forces being put on the cone other than the action/reaction forces from the own back and forth movement of the speaker driver.

The open baffle principle requires special woofers, midranges and tweeters, if we want to guarantee dipole behavior across the entire frequency range for the most beautiful reproduction. See below the description of the various units. For really good dipole behavior it is also necessary that all units, woofers, midrange and tweeter are mounted on the smallest possible baffle.  For the tweeter we even went so far that we have hung up it free.

Besides the fact that open baffle speakers have no box sound, they also give a greater signal to noise ratio than normal speakers. This is especially true for low frequencies. The ratio of direct and reflected sound power is enhanced in the listening area by a factor of 3. Bass lines are therefore always easy to follow without excess ringing.

With careful monitoring of all the principles needed to make an almost ideal dipole speaker we have managed to set a reference that is also of friendly dimensions.

From the technical requirements of the open baffle concept we went to work with interior designers to make the appearance of the speaker appealing and innovative. With this we have created a contemporary design concept being valued by both men and women and easy to adapt to individual needs.
